Ray Guy won the ‘Street Rod In Motion’ reaction time prize with .103 in second qualifying session1st Round (Sat)OA3 Paul Wright v OA60 Dean WhitePaul needed just to stage in this round, to clinch the 2005 Real Steel Outlaw Anglia Championship. But gave his crew a heart stopping moment when he accidentally squeezed the throttle & the car lurched forward, fortunately stopping just the right side of pre-stage. The run was also by no means stress-free on a difficult track the car changed direction at each gear shift, but Guv kept his foot planted long enough to take the win & the title 8.86 / 117mph to Dean's loosing 11.02 /122mph pb
OA25 Pete Moore v OA44 Martyn PayneThe same 1st round pairings as the NSRA Nostalgia nat's a few months ago were scheduled but unfortunately Pete Moore got shut-down due to a dripping trans (dipstick seal). Martyn Payne was back on the sniff for this pass, but broke a half shaft on the hit, gaining him the round win points plus a ride home on a trailer.
OA51 Mike Callan v OA9 Justin KrekelaarMike's 2005 power upgrades have left him with one violent leaving car, this doesn't always work in his favour. Although Mike cut a much better light he was forced to pedal to tame the launch leaving him chasing down a slowing Justin, just passing him a the lights by 0.15 second. Winning time 10.01/ 138mph to JK's 9.79 /119mph
OA2 Paul Hensher v OA590 Aidan KennyPrior to this run Aidan had found a problem with his slicks & decided to take it easy & settle for 1st round points 15.33 / 81mph Paul however had no such problems 8.35 / 162mph

OA14 Ian Norman v OA82 Richard Colby Richard suffered a repeat of the crank damper woes which cut short his Allstar nat's weekend & was unable to make the call, leaving Ian Norman to put in an unopposed 9.48 /146mph
OA344 Ray Guy v OA81 Simon Barlow Simon was on a high after chipping almost a 10th off his pb during qualifying. Ray gained a slight advantage on the tree & Simon never got it back Shorty's Hot Rod 10.03 /129mph to the Orange Pop's 10.38 /126mph

on the tree. 9.45/149.mph to Paul's winning 9.85/133mph OA14 Ian Norman v OA344 Ray Guy Ian's

Semi Final PROOA2 Paul Hensher v OA344 Ray Guy Ray was away 1st but Paul soon reeled him in winning 8.70/163mph to Ray's 11.63/75mph This win also gave Paul enough points to pass Mark Pointer in the 2005 Real Steel Outlaw Anglia Championship, to bag the runner-up spot once again.
OA3 Paul Wright v OA51 Mike Callan After strong burnouts from both cars Paul's motor developed a problem whilst going into stage & shut-down, leaving Mike on a solo into the final. 9.84/141mph
