This was an odd one after the burnouts both cars staged ok, Steve had a problem & rolled through,  but instead of him getting a red & Paul getting a green, a red light came on in both lanes ??. No times or speeds were recorded for either car. It was decided that a re-run was required due to the tree malfunction.    On the rerun Steve left 1st but Paul son reeled him in 8.55 /162mph to Steve's 9.85/129mph

A great race this, hardly anything between them at the start, Paul Hensher was ahead by 200ft & Pete couldn't catch him. Paul Hensher 8.78/155 to Pete Ashworth's 9.01/151mph

Due to Paul Wrights semi re-rum minutes earlier The Alcopop car was too hot to make the final, leaving Paul Hensher on a solo 14.81/71mph
