1st Round

OA222  Mark Pointer   V  OA60  Dean White

Although Dean left first, by 100 ft Mark had passed him & never looked back 7.50/174mph to a loosing 11.47/118mph

OA1 Paul Wright   v   OA 344 Ray Guy

This was only Paul's 2nd pass of the weekend after a last gasp qualifier got him into the field, an uneventful 8.10/174mph. took the round to Ray's 9.76/137mph.

OA14  Ian Norman  v  OA82  Richard Colby

Richard left 1st by a tenth, but Ian had made that up by 60ft. Richard's 9.50/145mph not enough to cover to Ians's 9.14/144mph (p.b.)

Semi-Finals

OA222 Mark Pointer  -  bye

The Hooligan had a bye in this round, never one to miss a full pass opportunity, nailed a 7.52/182mph.

OA1 Paul Wright  v  OA14 Ian Norman

The Guv drag racing team found a loose clamp had let the magneto move earlier today, now reset Paul was back into the sevens with a 7.80/178mph to Ian's "nearly an eight9.06/147mph (p.b.)

Final

OA222  Mark Pointer  v  OA1 Paul Wright

A couple of long burnouts were in order for this first match up of the season. However Paul didn't set enough staging brake pressure, & the car moved whilst bringing the revs up to launch rpm. This automatically gave the win to Mark who clicked off a great 7.52/182mph.

Congratulations to Mark & the team

Thanks to Brian Burrows & Santa Pod for inviting us to this event, we had a blast.
