Qualifying

Two qualifying sessions on Saturday produced the following:

  1. OA 3        Cliff Griffin       11.15 / 121.8 mph
  2. OA 823    Gary Malin       11.92 / 117.8 mph
  3. OA 5        Al O'Connor      15.70 / 49.29 mph

OA1 Rob Stone failed to qualify, kicking a rod out the side of the block during his burnout.

Eliminations

First Round    OA 823 Gary Malin   v   OA 5 Al O'Connor

Al O'Connor's out of character 15 second pass on Saturday proved to be caused by the second block-exiting conrod of the weekend. Leaving Gary to put in a 12.08 /114.8 mph solo.

First Round    OA 3 Cliff Griffin - bye

Cliff ran 11.85 / 110.5 mph, doing just enough to get lane choice in the final.

Final   OA 3 Cliff Griffin   v   OA 823 Gary Malin

Going into the Final Cliff knew a win would put an end to Rob Stone's domination of the coveted OA1 title.

Gary left on Cliff by a full 3 tenths, but his ailing 11.47 / 119.3 mph allowed Cliff to drive round him with a 11.00 / 119.6 mph.
