1st Round  (rain delayed the start of eliminations until 2:40 pm)

OA19  Paul Hensher  v  OA84 Dave Sidaway

This race was over before it started, Dave had a trans-brake problem & rolled through stage. Paul posted a 8.33/161mph.

OA666 Lee Cohen   v   OA 31 Cliff Griffin

Lee has been stepping-up with his blown alky ride & experiencing some handling issues on the way his  10.01/144mph wasn't enough to cover Cliffs excellent 9.15/144mph. (p.b.)

OA1 Paul Wright   v   OA 5 Rob Stone

This was Pauls first event since upgrading some rear suspension components, this 8.85/147mph was by no means straight but covered Robs 9.55/138mph.

OA82 Richard Colby   v   OA 344 Ray Guy

Richard was out of the gate by a tenth & had added another second to his lead by the eighth, his winning Et was 8.47/158mph to Ray's 10.04/133mph.

Semi-Finals

OA19 Paul Hensher  v  OA1 Paul Wright

Guv stayed in the throttle too long & was unable to straighten up, only managing 10.64/87mph for Paul progressed with a 8.47/158mph

OA82 Richard Colby  v  OA 31 Cliff Griffin

Cliff had been suffering with bearing problems, changing two sets over the weekend & didn't make the call leaving Richard to run an unopposed 10.69/122mph.

Final

OA19  Paul Hensher  v  OA82 Richard Colby

An eventful final just scraping in before the 5pm curfew, both cars burnt out then Paul couldn't engage reverse & had to evacuate the car to allow Richard to run 10.06/135mph to clinch his first event win

Thanks to all involved at Shakespeare County Raceway for organising the event & battling against the elements to complete it.
